Karin Cadwell, PhD, RN, FAAN, RLC, IBCLC
is a natioanlly and internationally recognized speaker, researcher, and educator. She convened Baby-Friendly USA, implementing the WHO/UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative in the United States, is a delegate to the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee, was visiting professor and chair of the Health Communications Masters Degree program at Emerson College, and is an adjunct progessor at the Union Institute and University. Dr. Cadwell served on the international Bord of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). Panel of Experts to develop the first lactation consultant certification exam. Her extensive clilnical experience includes hospital and community practice, and she contiues to counsel nursing mothers on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.

Cynthia Turner-Maffei, MA, IBCLC, RLC
is a natioanl coordinator of Baby-Friendly USA, implementing the WHO/UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative in the United States. She has extaensive experience as a breastfeeding educator int The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and other maternal Child health programs, and she contiues to counsel nursing mothers on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Ms. Turner-Maffei is a delegate to breastfeeding coalitions on the local, state and national level, including the U. S. Breastfeeding Committee.
